Comparison
The city-state of Posus shares similarities with both Athens and Sparta. The geography, trading, and philosophy of Posus is similar to Athens. Although, the design and set-up of Posus' government is most like Sparta.
Posus is located near mountains but is also close to the ocean/sea. Athens is placed between two mountains and near the ocean as well. Next, both these city-states use trading as a main source of getting food, tools, etc. They use oceans around them to get to other islands/city-states. Lastly, the philosophy of Posus resembles Athens. Both city-states worship one patron god greatly. They also worship other gods, though both patrons are Olympians. They name their city state after their patron god; in Athens it is is Athena, and in Posus, Poseidon.
In contrast, Posus' government is not like Athens, but Sparta's. Sparta ruled their government having two kings with limited power, and an assembly consisting of men over the age of 30 who voted on decisions. Posus is very similar, having two kings with limited power, but an assembly of 130 elected officials who also vote on decisions.
In conclusion, Posus is most similar to Athens, for they are alike in geography, trading, and philosophy. However, their government was more like Sparta's.
